Bubba Wallace Reacts To Unexpected Support From Commanders’ QB Jayden Daniels
NASCAR driver Bubba Wallace recently received some unexpected support from NFL quarterback for the Washington Commanders Jayden Daniels.
This heartwarming interaction between the two athletes began on social media, where a photo of Daniels wearing a red 23XI Racing bomber jacket, associated with Wallace, went viral. The image, shared by the official Washington Commanders’ X account, gained traction with the hashtag “#ProBowlVote”, demonstrating Daniels’ support for Wallace in a simple yet impactful way.
When Bubba Wallace saw this post, he responded with an enthusiastic, “YESSSSIRRR!” on his X account.
It was a fitting prelude to an exciting game in which the Washington Commanders triumphed over the Philadelphia Eagles with a close score of 36-33, securing their position as a formidable team in the NFC East standings.
Over recent months, Wallace and his team, 23XI Racing, co-owned by Denny Hamlin and NBA legend Michael Jordan, have faced significant challenges related to NASCAR’s charter agreement. Despite being a prominent NASCAR team established in 2020, 23XI Racing, along with Front Row Motorsports, opted not to sign the NASCAR charter agreement. This decision put a question mark on their participation in future competitions. However, in a favorable legal outcome, a federal judge ruled in their favor, allowing the teams to compete in the 2025 season. NASCAR has appealed the decision and a court date has been set for the New Year.
The uncertainty surrounding 23XI Racing’s future posed a potential threat to Wallace’s career, prompting considerations of options outside the team. Fortunately, the recent legal victory offers some relief to Wallace and his team, amidst the ongoing legal contest with NASCAR. A recent court filing revealed, as previously reported by Newsweek Sports:
“23XI’s contract with driver Riley Herbst similarly requires that Herbst be provided with a chartered car, as does Front Row’s contract with driver Noah Gragson.
“Other drivers have expressed similarly urgent concerns. Driver Bubba Wallace informed 23XI that he needs to know how it intends to compete ‘immediately’ so that he can explore seats with other teams.”
