Buccaneers’ Mike Evans Receives New Injury and Timeline R…
Tampa Bay Buccaneers star Mike Evans is set to miss some time. There was hope that the star receiver would be able to make it back on the field soon after suffering a hamstring injury, but that will not be the case.

Evans suffered a hamstring injury during the Buccaneers’ Week 3 win against the New York Jets. Following a play where he was shown suffering a non-contact injury, the star receiver limped to the locker room.
It was revealed that Evans’ injury was considered to be “low grade,” but that has now been updated. According to multiple reports, Evans is expected to be out for multiple weeks.
“Bucs are bracing for wide receiver Mike Evans to miss 2-3 weeks with his hamstring injury, per sources. The injury is not considered as bad as last year’s, and Evans plans to work to get back as soon as possible, possibly beating the timeline,” Jeremy Fowler posted on X.

The good news is that Evans is not expected to be placed on IR, but he will miss multiple games. Considering he had a hamstring issue in 2024, the Buccaneers might want to take things a bit slow for the longtime veteran.
Evans has been one of the most consistent receivers in the league, posting over 1,000 yards in each season. In 2024, he brought in 1,004 yards and 11 touchdowns, despite losing three games to a hamstring issue.
So far through three weeks of action in 2025, Evans has brought in 140 yards and one touchdown.
Losing Evans will be tough for this Buccaneers team, as Chris Godwin also remains out. Godwin is trending towards a return in the coming weeks, but now the Bucs will be without two of their star receivers.
The Buccaneers have put together three fourth-quarter comebacks to go 3-0, but losing Evans might impact the team’s ability to catch opponents. Still, the way Baker Mayfield is playing, anything is possible.
