CeeDee Lamb Makes Feelings Known on George Pickens’ Cowboys Future
The Dallas Cowboys’ decision to trade for George Pickens this past offseason has completely transformed their offense in 2025, which fellow Cowboys wideout CeeDee Lamb would seemingly like to see continue for the foreseeable future.
Lamb and Pickens have quickly emerged as arguably the most formidable wide receiver duo in football this season. However, there is no guarantee that Pickens will remain in Dallas for the long haul.
Pickens is set to be a free agent following the 2025 season. Given how he has played this season, he is almost certainly set to receive a massive payday, whether that be in Dallas or elsewhere.
Recently, reports have emerged that the Cowboys have not yet reached out to Pickens to attempt to reach a contract extension, which certainly creates speculation as to what his future may look like.
However, if it were up to CeeDee Lamb, Pickens would get his big payday and stay in Dallas.

“That’s my guy,” said Lamb of Pickens. “I feel like we’ve grown this bond in a matter of minutes. I want the best for him, whether that’s him making the most money in the NFL at the position or whatever that looks like. But I do want him to win.”

Considering Jerry Jones’ notorious reputation as a difficult negotiator, it may be easier said than done for Pickens to get his desired payday from the longtime Cowboys owner.
Lamb knows the struggles of negotiating with Jones all too well, sharing a bit of advice with Pickens on approaching the negotiation process the team’s owner.
“Stay positive. Your money is gonna come,” said Lamb when asked about negotiating with Jones.
Pickens has spoken favorably about the Cowboys organization since joining the team. But ultimately, it will likely come down to the money he is receiving from the organization, which will play the biggest factor in whether he stays in Dallas.
