Celtics Injury Report: Jayson Tatum, Kristaps Porzingis Status Revealed vs Jazz
The Boston Celtics are coming off a big win over their rivals, the Los Angeles Lakers, and will be taking on the Utah Jazz. This could be considered a trap game for Boston as they play against the Oklahoma City Thunder in their next contest.
But the Celtics know every game is important and can’t underestimate Utah. On any given night in the NBA, a team can pull the upset and steal a win.

Heading into this game, the Celtics injury report has a few notable names on it. The biggest is star forward Jayson Tatum, who is dealing with right knee tendinopathy.
Tatum was listed as questionable entering the game and will be out for this contest against the Jazz.

The Celtics star looked incredible against the Lakers last time out, dropping 40 points in the win. Tatum helped Boston make a giant statement over Los Angeles and he reminded everyone just how special of a player he was.
Additionally, star center Kristaps Porzingis remains on the injury report. Porzingis was listed as doubtful for the contest and was also ruled out due to a lingering non-Covid illness.
Porzingis has missed six of the Celtics’ past seven games. Boston needs him to be on the court if they are to reach their goals this season.
The Celtics will look to keep the winning going as they have won four straight entering this game. Boston has won eight of their past 10 games overall despite multiple injuries taking over the roster.

This team currently holds a record of 46-18 and they sit in second place within the Eastern Conference standings. At this point, the Celtics are pretty much locked into the No. 2 seed in the East but the team does need to make sure they stay flowing strong as we get closer to the postseason.
Boston should be seen as the favorite in the East as they attempt to repeat as NBA champions. The Celtics have one of the best rosters in the entire NBA and arguably the best starting five when everyone is healthy.
