Chiefs’ Travis Kelce Breaks Silence on Returning for 2025 NFL Season
There were rumors surrounding Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce that he would retire following the conclusion of the 2024 season. Kelce himself also confirmed on his “New Heights” podcast that he would greatly weigh his options before deciding to walk away.

Chiefs general manager Brett Veach also confirmed at the NFL Combine that Kelce was “fired up” to return in 2025 and “We left it as he’d be back and we’re excited to get him back and get him going.”
Now, Kelce has broken his silence and confirmed his return for the 2025 season.

Kelce spoke to Pat McAfee and found out what the real story is. McAfee revealed that Kelce said,
“My dog!!! I’m coming back for sure. Gonna try and get the best shape I’ve been this offseason and get back to the mountaintop. Got a real bad taste in my mouth with how I played in that last game and how I got the guys ready for battle. I can’t go out like that!!!”
