Colt Gray, Colin Gray’s Mugshots Released After Georgia School Shooting
The mugshots of the Georgia school shooting suspect Colt Gray and his father have been released after the 14-year-old allegedly opened fire at Apalachee High School on Wednesday.
Colt reportedly killed two teachers and two fellow students when he went on a rampage at the high school in Winder, Georgia. Nine others were hospitalized with gunshot wounds.
He was arrested on Wednesday after surrendering to school resource officers and has now been charged with four counts of murder as an adult.
His father, Colin Gray, was later arrested and charged with two counts of second-degree murder, four counts of manslaughter and eight counts of cruelty to children, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation said.
Both Colt and Colin Gray were already on law enforcement’s radar after the two were interviewed more than a year ago over threats the student made on an online gaming website, Discord.
In May 2023, the F.B.I. was tipped off to a user making school shooting threats, and was able to track them back to Colt Gray, who was a 13-year-old at the time.
The student and his father were interviewed by law enforcement, but the sheriff’s report concluded that the threats could not definitely be attributed to Colt Gray.
This is a breaking story. More to follow.
