Commanders Announce Huge Jayden Daniels News After Beating Chargers

The Washington Commanders and star quarterback Jayden Daniels badly need a win heading into Week 5 action against the Los Angeles Chargers. Hitting the road for a matchup across the country is never easy, but the Commanders were ready for the challenge.

When all was said and done, Washington was able to head home with a dominant 27-10 win over Justin Herbert and the Chargers.

Following the win, the Commanders now hold a 3-2 record on the season. They’re back to looking like a serious contender in the NFC, although they need to get back to full health. Despite the injuries, they were able to find a way to win.

Not only did Washington win, but the team saw its star quarterback make NFL history.

After the win, the Commanders took to social media on X to announce some major news for Daniels. He set a new NFL record for being the first player in league history to record 1,000 rushing yards and 4,000 passing yards in his first 20 career games.

That is just another sign of how good Daniels has been to begin his career with Washington. He has truly changed the entire outlook for the franchise moving forward. Assuming he can stay healthy and develop to reach his full potential, Daniels will be one of the top quarterbacks in the NFL.

Throughout his first three games this season, Daniels has completed 59.2 percent of his pass attempts for 664 yards, four touchdowns, and no interceptions. He has also picked up 124 yards on the ground, but has not found the end zone running the ball.

At just 24 years old, the future is incredibly bright for the former No. 2 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft. Along with his bright future, the Commanders appear likely to remain a contender in the NFC for years to come as well.

Next up for Washington and Daniels will be a tough Week 6 matchup on Monday Night Football at home against Caleb Williams and the Chicago Bears. It will be a battle between Daniels and the one player who was drafted ahead of him last year.

Hopefully, Daniels is able to stay hot and lead the Commanders to another win next week in primetime.
