While carrying the ball, his ankle and lower leg appeared to get trapped under a Cowboys defender. Robinson was able to walk off the field on his own power, but he immediately sat on the benches and looked to be in significant pain.

Initially, the leg injury appeared to be rather significant. Robinson remained on the ground while training staff attended to him. The hope is that he only suffered a stinger and he can rejoin the team at some point on Sunday.

UPDATE:

Robinson is officially questionable to return with an ankle injury.

Robinson has dealt with a hamstring injury that has seemingly plagued him since last season. The young running back missed two games due to a hamstring injury. He also suffered another hamstring injury that has kept him out for one game this season.

Now, the young back will have to heal from the ankle injury he suffered against the Cowboys. Though he walked off the field, the injury looked to be rather significant. Robinson will likely undergo tests to determine the damage he suffered.

The Commanders are looking for their eighth win of the season, and to also catch the first-place NFC East Philadelphia Eagles. The Cowboys have not been the most competitive this season, and are currently 3-7 on the season.

Despite the Cowboys having some clear struggles, this is a divisional showdown. Divisional games are always tough to win for both teams involved. Dallas is also desperate for a win and should play the Commanders hard today.

The Commanders losing Robinson for the day is going to impact the run game tremendously. Though Jayden Daniels is good on his feet, the Commanders need more firepower on the ground.

With Robinson seemingly out for the rest of the game, the Commanders will rely on Austin Ekeler and Jeremy McNichols.

So far through the 2024 season, Robinson has secured 524 yards and seven touchdowns on the ground, along with 88 receiving yards.

Ekeler has not been quite as productive, securing 333 yards and four touchdowns on the ground, along with 344 receiving yards.

Either way, both combine for a solid one-two punch when on the field together. The Commanders are now without one of their star offensive weapons.
