Conor McGregor Takes Aim at Nurmagomedov Family in Social Media Rant
Conor McGregor did not mince his words as he gave a scathing assessment of not just Usman Nurmagomedov, but his entire fighting family, in a social media rant following the PFL Road To Dubai Champions Series event on Friday night.
McGregor, who was in Philadelphia for Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship’s KnuckleMania V event, was an interested spectator from afar as Ireland’s Paul Hughes challenged Nurmagomedov for the Bellator lightweight title in the main event in Dubai.

After Nurmagomedov claimed the victory and retained his title with a majority decision verdict, McGregor jumped on X to share his video of the fight, and Usman’s wider family.
“Tremendous fight and performance! Easy win for Hughes, he DOMINATED THAT FIGHT,” McGregor wrote as he hailed Hughes’ performance in defeat.
“And (Usman) exactly what it says on the tin, a Nurmagomedov. Runner, sprinter, bolter, scarper, scurrying ‘fighter’.
“The Nurmagomedovs are not fighters. They are the most non fighting fighters out of Dagestan and all time.
“Run away around the cage and shoot ass b*****s. Dagestan is better than the Nurmagomedovs and that is a FACT!”
The fight was promoted as being “Dagestan vs. Ireland 2” with Nurmagomedov and Hughes facing off more than six years after the infamous meeting between Khabib Nurmagomedov and McGregor at UFC 229 back in October 2018.
Nurmagomedov submitted McGregor with a neck crank in the fourth round of that fight in Las Vegas, and clearly those old wounds still run deep with McGregor, whose angry social media missive revealed his ongoing animosity with Nurmagomedov and his team.

Heading into their Bellator lightweight title fight in Dubai, Usman was dismissive of Hughes’ chances, but the Russian admitted after the fight that he was wrong to underestimate the Irishman as he showed his respect to his opponent after their 25-minute war.
That respect didn’t extend to an agreement to face off in an immediate rematch, however, with Nurmagomedov saying Hughes would have to go off and have more fights before he can earn a second shot at his title.
Hughes, meanwhile, criticized the judges’ scoring of the fight, and demanded a rematch, saying, “I need to get that back. I deserve to have that belt, soon.”
