Dad Starts Snoring in the Night, 3-Year-Old Knows What to Do
A fed-up 3-year-old from New York took drastic measures to show his dad he’d had enough.
Footage shared by his mom on TikTok (@nbumblephuck) shows her husband and their toddler together in his “big boy bed.”
Watching from the Nanit baby cam, Ms. Delucia (who did not reveal their names) saw that her husband’s attempt to put their son to bed had failed.

“My husband was putting him to sleep and fell asleep himself,” Ms. Delucia told Newsweek.
But while he snores away, their son is wide-awake, sitting at the head of the bed with his hands covering his ears.
Unable to bear the noise any longer, the toddler clamps his hand over his dad’s mouth and then his nose to stop the snoring.
The automated voice that reads on-screen captions said: “The chances of getting killed by your 3-year-old are low… but not impossible.
“The only reason why I even looked back at the footage was because I wanted to convince my husband to go to a sleep doctor to get his snoring checked out and that’s when I saw what my son had done,” Ms. Delucia said.
Snoring is common among adults in the United States, affecting approximately 40 percent of men.
While occasional snoring may not be cause for concern, habitual snoring can have health implications, such as daytime fatigue and cognitive difficulties.
Heavy snoring can also be a primary symptom of obstructive sleep apnea (OSA), a sleep disorder characterized by repeated interruptions in breathing during sleep.
“When I went through the footage, my son had already been sitting up staring at him snore for about 30 minutes already, and the shot that I posted was the moment he ‘snapped,'” Ms. Delucia said.
With his airways blocked, the father wakes up and shakes him off.
TikTok users found the clip, which has been viewed 1.3 million times, hilarious. “Lil man said either you stop snoring or I stop you,” one wrote. The most liked comment read, “Just relax, this will only take a second,” @melaniebelaniee laughed.
It also encouraged other parents to share stories of their children who can’t stand the noise. “My daughter was three I woke up to a pillow on top of my head and her telling me just go to sleep mommy,” wrote a third.
Luckily, there were no hard feelings between father and son. “My husband and I burst out laughing—the second hand was what did it for us,” the mom said.
When asked what the reaction was like on TikTok, Ms. Delucia laughed and said, “That my husband deserved it.”
