Dak Prescott Raves About Dallas Cowboys’ Offseason Addition

Heading into the 2025 season, the Dallas Cowboys’ offense is set to look much different. Despite all the new moving parts, one key member of the organization is very high on the front office’s major offseason splash.

After a shaky tenure with the Pittsburgh Steelers that was filled with off-field drama, George Pickens finds himself with a change of scenery. Upon being traded to the Cowboys, the dynamic wide receiver has an opportunity at a fresh slate in the NFL. This new situation has the potential to yield positive dividends for Pickens, as he’ll be playing alongside an MVP-level QB and one of the league’s top wide receivers.

While continuing to recover from the hamstring injury that cut his 2024 season short, Dak Prescott held a free football camp for kids in the Texas area. Following the festivities Tuesday, the Cowboys star fielded an array of questions from the media. Among the things brought up was his newest weapon within the offense.

Prescott has spoken highly of Pickens in the past, and continued to rave about him Tuesday. He is a strong believer in his abilities on the football field and believes he could be a strong addition to the Cowboys.

“You turn on that guy’s tape and he’s getting separation,” Prescott told reporters. “He’s got separation, even when he’s not getting the ball at times. When he doesn’t have separation he’s still making the catches. For me it’s about getting the ball near that guy and letting him go be George Pickens. Go turn on the tape he’s great at doing that.”

Though off-field incidents have altered his perception around the league some, many still agree that Pickens has the potential to be a highly impactful wide receiver. At his peak with the Steelers, he racked up nearly 1,200 receiving yards and came down with five touchdowns. While his production saw a slight decrease last season, Pickens will be looking to get back on track in Dallas.

Prescott appears ready to start building a strong connection with Pickens as they attempt to help Dallas return to prominence in the NFC.
