DC Plane Crash Could End Army Flight Training: Trump Nominee
Daniel Driscoll, President Donald Trump’s nominee for Secretary of the Army, told the Senate Armed Services committee on Thursday that the Army may halt flight training near congested urban airports, such as Reagan National Airport in Washington, D.C.
Driscoll appeared in front of senators for his confirmation hearing in the wake of Wednesday night’s deadly crash when an Army Blackhawk helicopter collided with a plane carrying 60 passengers and fell into the Potomac River.
Sixty-seven people, including three Army soldiers, are believed to have died in the crash.
More to follow.
