Defence Minister appoints former NATO branch director head of Defence Innovation Research Institute
Effective September 1, Defence Minister Kristof Szalay-Bobrovniczky has appointed Gergely Nemeth, the former head of NATO’s Strategic Foresight Branch, managing director of the Defence Innovation Research Institute (VIKI), the defence ministry said.
The ministry said in statement that Nemeth’s professional carreer spanning 17 years had been mostly spent in the area of defence force planning. His appointment is aimed to further strengthen the institute’s research and development, and defence science pillar.
