Dodgers Reportedly Discussing Blockbuster Trade For $50 Million Luis Robert Jr.
🎙️ Voice is AI-generated. Inconsistencies may occur.
The Los Angeles Dodgers have gotten off to a hot start this year, but there are still some weak links on the roster. Players like Andy Pages, Max Muncy, Kiké Hernandez, and Michael Conforto are all struggling early in the year.
Because of this, the Dodgers could be a bit urgent at adding more talent early in the year rather than waiting until June or July to do so. The Dodgers add talent, usually in trades, every season.
Bob Nightengale of USA Today recently reported that the Dodgers have discussed a trade with the Chicago White Sox to acquire outfielder Luis Robert Jr. this season. Robert has $20 million club options in 2026 and 2027 on his contract.

“The Chicago White Sox and Los Angeles Dodgers have tabled trade discussions that would send center fielder Luis Robert Jr. to the Dodgers for Triple-A outfielder James Outman and a front-line prospect,” Nightengale wrote.
Robert would be a perfect fit in the Dodgers outfield. The right-handed slugger would give Los Angeles an additional righty to play every day.
Robert, 27, has struggled to begin the season again. In 13 games, the star is slashing .178/.269/.267 with one home run and one double. But he already has six stolen bases on the young season, which puts him on pace to set a career high this year.
Could the “front-line prospect” be top prospect Dalton Rushing? Could it be breakout star Zyhir Hope? Only time will tell.
This is a trade that the Dodgers have been linked to for almost a year now. Robert desperately needs a change of scenery. Adding him to the Dodgers’ lineup could reignite his career while giving the Dodgers a potential star in the outfield.
