Dog Forced To Wear Cone Gives Owner Piece of His Mind: ‘See How I Feel?’
Dogs tend to fight when owners force them to wear a cone, thinking it is full of shame without realizing it is for their own good, which is why one canine wanted to return the feeling to his owner.
The dog owner, who is known on TikTok as @allie_maloneyyy, sat on the couch with her pup standing directly on top of her in a January 22 video. The small dog was forced to wear a cone, as do many canines because it helps them heal from surgery or prevent them from licking wounds, and he wanted his owner to know how he felt.
Getting up close and personal, he shoved the cone around his owner’s face to give her a piece of his mind. He was thinking, “How dare you do this to me?” And he stood his ground in the clip.
The pup didn’t budge as his owner moved the camera to different angles. He thought if he had to wear the cone, then she was going to join the party. By the smile on her face, it appears she accepted the karma.
With the video receiving over 1.3 million views on TikTok as of Wednesday, viewers couldn’t stop cracking up at the dog’s position. They immediately knew his goal—to make the owner feel bad for putting him in the cone.
“He said, ‘Now u see how I feel,'” commented one user. A second person wrote: “He said, ‘No WE have to wear this thing.'”
A third viewer added: “Misery loves company.”
Newsweek reached out to @allie_maloneyyy via TikTok for additional comment.

Introducing Your Dog to Cones
Owners often feel bad when they force their dogs into a cone. Seeing them struggle in the protective gear while they eat food or drink water hurts. Their vision and hearing might be different while wearing a cone. It can become a stressful situation for dogs.
To help them, an article from Preventive Vet suggested pairing the cone with food, praise and fun to prevent it from becoming an additional stressor. You will want to slowly introduce the cone by holding or placing it on the ground. Reward your dog when they show interest in the cone—sniffing, touching or looking at it. Continue with short sessions and repeat until your dog shows no fear or stress when being around the cone.
You will next want to hold the cone backward, with the wide opening facing your dog, and, once again, praise them for any head movement into the cone. You can encourage them to do this by placing a treat in your hand and reaching through the opening. From there, you’ll want to switch the way you hold the cone with the small opening facing your dog.
Again, encourage them to explore the cone and praise them with treats when they stick their head inside. You will then want to add time for how long they wear the cone. Slowly incorporate tapping on the cones and walking with them to help familiarize them with the different sounds and routines they’ll have to do when wearing it.
