Dog Gets Hit in Eye With Ball, What Happens After 2 Vet Visits Goes Viral

Internet users can’t get enough of a Goldador who refused to open her eye after being hit in the face by a tennis ball, and there was only one thing that could possibly treat her injury.

Carol Ann the Labrador and golden retriever mix has become a viral sensation after a video of her dramatics went viral on TikTok (@carolthegoldador) this month. The hilarious clip shows how Carol refused to open her eye after mistakenly getting a tennis ball to the face while trying to catch it.

The poor pup kept her eye closed “for two days straight” as a result of her sports injury and even required two trips to the vets. The vet took a look at the dog’s cornea but said there was nothing wrong with Carol’s eye thankfully.

That wasn’t enough to heal Carol’s injury, however, leaving her owner perplexed about how to help the pup. But, as it turned out, all it would take was some delicious ice cream to treat the pain.

Layered over the footage of Carol with her eyes crossed, the caption explains that her owner “randomly gave her an ice cream” and she was suddenly able to open her eye. Once she got a taste of the delicious ice cream, Carol was back to her usual self, with her owner adding that it has “never been acknowledged since.”

Needless to say, Carol’s theatrics has turned her into quite the viral sensation, and the TikTok clip has amassed over 2.2 million views and more than 327,000 likes at the time of writing.

The caption alongside the clip jokes, “did she hustle me?”

Newsweek has contacted @carolthegoldador via TikTok for comment. We could not verify the details of the video.

During the TikTok clip, several videos show Carol seemingly struggling to open one of her eyes. Her owner never could have imagined that the simple solution was just a tasty cold snack after all.

This may not be too out of character for Carol however, as her owner wrote in a TikTok comment that the intelligent pup “has a literal college degree,” and maybe now it is time for her to take up theater acting.

While her owner may not have been too pleased about getting hustled by a dog, internet users have lauded the Goldador’s dramatic behavior. This has led to more than 460 comments on the viral TikTok post so far.

One comment on the post reads: “She pronounces it ‘eyes cream’.”

Another TikTok user wrote: “She needed both eyes to see the ice cream.”

A third person added: “She saw her moment and took it.”

One commenter jested: “God forbid a girl wants some extra attention & ice cream.”
