Dog Has So Much Fun at the Beach She Doesn’t Want To Go Back Home: ‘Nope’
One dog’s idea of a day at the beach includes that it will never end, and when the owner tried getting her back to the car, she put up a heck of a fight.
This golden retriever truly did not want to leave as she was having the time of her life. Even her German shepherd sibling was hesitant to get back into the van when the owner known on TikTok as @nattydreadrowley asked. To be fair, would anyone want to leave after a day filled with surfing, fishing, and long beach walks?
In the hilarious TikTok clip, the owner pleaded with both dogs for them to go back inside. It didn’t take long for the German shepherd to listen, but Marley the golden retriever tried her hardest to stay by running from the owner and lying down.
But, after about 10 minutes, the owner finally won and rallied both his troops inside the van.
It’s common for dogs to refuse to get back in the car or on a leash after running around and having fun. They see it as a sign the fun is over. And just as this owner went through, it might result in a chasing game to get the dogs to finally listen.
“Can understand why they don’t want to go. I wish I didn’t have to,” the owner told Newsweek.
But lucky for these two dogs, they’ll be back for another beach visit in no time, soaking up all the sun their little hearts could imagine.
The February 12 TikTok video had over 29,300 views, 1,400 likes, and 92 comments as of Monday. Viewers were the least bit shocked at this golden retriever’s behavior.
“Aww, she wants you all to stay there forever,” a user commented.
A viewer wrote what the dog was thinking: “Nope, not coming. I’m staying here.”
Plenty of dog owners have experienced similar situations as one user said: “My boy does this every day in the woods. Every. Single. Day.”
“My dog is so crafty when she knows it’s time to go she runs in the sea and starts swimming with selective hearing,” added another dog owner.
Dogs are out here trying to live their best lives and owners are always cutting the fun short. How rude!
