Donald Trump Says He ‘couldn’t care less’ About Iran Threats
U.S. President Donald Trump has dismissed threats from a senior Iranian official who suggested he “will pay” for U.S.-Israeli strikes on Iran, as the conflict spreading across the Middle East passes into its second week.
Ali Larijani, an Iranian national security figure who quickly became a key player in Tehran after U.S.-Israeli attacks killed former leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, said Trump “must pay and will pay” for persistent aerial assaults on the country.
“I have no idea what he’s talking about, who he is. I couldn’t care less,” Trump said in an interview with CBS News late on Saturday, referring to Larijani’s remarks.
What To Know:
- Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Bahrain, Qatar and Kuwait reported fresh Iranian attacks into Sunday.

- Iranian state media reported attacks on oil sites around Tehran and attacks on Isfahan, a major Iranian city housing sites linked to Iran’s nuclear program.
- Israel carried out new attacks on Iran-backed militant group, Hezbollah, in Lebanon early on Sunday.
