Drake Disses Shohei Ohtani, Dodgers as Blue Jays Win Game 5
The Los Angeles Dodgers are suddenly down 3-2 in the World Series against the Toronto Blue Jays. After winning the 18-inning marathon, the Dodgers have lost two straight games at home.
The Dodgers will now head to Toronto, hoping to win both games and the series. Trey Yesavage dominated the Dodgers to help the Blue Jays take a series lead. He had 12 strikeouts in seven innings, allowing just three hits and one run. However, one specific strikeout caught the attention of Drake.
Drake posted a picture of Yesavage walking back to the dugout while Shohei Ohtani dropped to a knee, striking out against the young star in the making. Drake accompanied the picture with the caption, “Savage already otw to the dugout boss lol.”
Drake, an avid Toronto sports fan and native, may have some harsh feelings toward Ohtani. Ohtani has already heard “We don’t need you!” chants from Blue Jays fans for how his free agency played out. Now Drake is getting his shots in at the likely MVP.
Ohtani has already made a mark on this series in Game 3. He had one of the greatest postseason games of all time, when he reached base nine times and hit two home runs. He was intentionally walked four times in that game as well. The picture Drake posted on his Instagram story was the only strikeout Yesavage had against Ohtani in Game 5.
The Blue Jays are trying to stop the Dodgers from becoming the first team to win consecutive World Series since 2000, when the New York Yankees completed a three-peat.
