Eagles’ Brandon Graham Apologized to Team Following AJ Brown, Jalen Hurts Drama

Philadelphia Eagles defensive end Brandon Graham apologized for the radio comments he made about A.J. Brown and Jalen Hurts in a team meeting this week. Hurts and Brown dapped each other up in front of the team to show that everything was good between them.

After the Eagles’ 22-16 win over the Carolina Panthers last week, Brown told reporters that passing is what the Philadelphia offense needed to improve on. After Brown’s comments, rumors swirled that there was drama between the star receiver and Hurts.

Graham only further fueled speculation about the relationship after his comments on a local radio station.

“I know 1 is trying and 11 could be better with how he responds to things. They were friends before this, but things have changed, and I understand that because life happens,” Graham said. “But, it’s the business side that we have to make sure that we don’t let the personal get in the way of the business, and that’s what we gotta do better right now.”

A few days later, Brown told the media his passing comment was misconstrued. While people assumed he was talking about Hurts, he was actually talking about the passing attack.

Hurts was also asked about his relationship with Brown. He gave a very simple response: “We’re good.”

While things are reportedly fine in the Eagles’ locker room, Michael Strahan discussed the situation in Philadelphia, specifically concerning Brown’s attitude.

“You look and the team is winning nine straight games. Handle this in the locker room, don’t handle it in the public. [Brown] was setting records a few years ago. Saquon Barkley is setting records now. So offenses change, they evolve,” Strahan said. “Right now, they’re leaning on the run game, leaning on Saquon Barkley. It’s working. He does deserve to get the ball, he’s one of the best receivers in the league. But also understand, that you just got fit in sometimes how you fit in. You can’t let your ego of numbers and stats get in the way of what the team is doing.”

Nevertheless, the Eagles are just one game behind the Detroit Lions in the race for home-field advantage and a first-round bye in the playoffs. As long as the camaraderie is strong in Philadelphia, the Eagles should be poised for a deep playoff run.
