Elon Musk’s Daughter Says She Found Out About New ‘Half-Sibling’ on Reddit

Elon Musk’s transgender daughter Vivian Jenna Wilson, 21, has revealed she found out via social media platform Reddit about writer Ashley St. Clair’s claim that she had had a child with her father.

Newsweek contacted Wilson, a representative for St. Clair and Musk, via the Tesla and SpaceX press offices, for comment on Saturday outside of regular office hours.

On Friday, St. Clair, a conservative influencer and writer, announced on Musk’s social media website X, formerly Twitter, that the tech billionaire was the father to a child she had five months ago. Musk has yet to comment publicly on St. Clair’s claim.

Musk is already known to have had 12 children with three other women: his ex-wife Justine Wilson, Canadian singer Grimes, and Shivon Zilis, who works as an executive at his company Neuralink. Musk’s first child, born to Wilson in 2002, died just weeks old due to Sudden Infant Death Syndrome.

Musk has been vocal in recent years about what he views as a threat to human civilization from declining birthrates, warning this could lead to the “mass extinction of entire nations.”

In January, President Donald Trump appointed Musk to co-lead the newly created Department of Government Efficiency, tasked with cutting what they deem to be excessive federal spending.

Wilson posted a video of herself on TikTok on Saturday, with the caption: “Wow, if I had a nickel for every time I found out I had half siblings through Reddit, I’d have two nickels… which isn’t alot but it’s weird that it happened twice, right?”

Separately on Threads, the social media rival to her father’s X, Wilson wrote: “If I had a nickel for every time that I found out I had a new half-sibling online, I’d have a few nickels—which isn’t a lot, but it’s weird that it happened SIX SEPARATE TIMES.”

She added: “‘I don’t know how many siblings I have’ goes really hard on 2 truths and a lie though, I will admit.”

Wilson didn’t specify which of her siblings or half-siblings she allegedly found out about online.

In 2022, Wilson announced she had legally changed her name and gender, saying she didn’t want to “be related to my biological father in any way, shape or form.”

During a 2024 interview with conservative academic Jordan Peterson, Musk said Wilson was “dead—killed by the woke mind virus,” claiming he had been “tricked” into approving gender reassignment surgery and had “lost” his son.

In a statement posted on X on Saturday, Brian Glicklich, St. Clair’s media consultant, said: “Ashley & Elon have been privately working towards the creation of an agreement about raising their child for some time. It is disappointing that a tabloid reporter, who repeatedly ambushed Ashley and her family, made it impossible to complete that process confidentially.”

He continued: “We are waiting for Elon to publicly acknowledge his parental role with Ashley, to end unwarranted speculation, and Ashley trusts that Elon intends to finish their agreement quickly, in the best interests of the well-being and security of the child they share.”

Also on Saturday, Shivon Zilis shared a photograph of the twin children she had with Musk in November 2021, adding: “Lil loves of my life.” She followed this with two heart emojis. Musk then responded with a face with hearts emoji.

It remains to be seen whether Musk will publicly comment on St. Clair’s claim that the couple had a child together.

Musk’s decision to father children with multiple women has attracted criticism from some social conservatives, who believe in the nuclear family centered around a mother and father.
