External trade surplus at EUR 671 million in August

The value of export was 4.1% lower, that of import decreased by 4.2% in EUR terms in August 2024 compared to the same period of the previous year. The balance of the external trade in goods deteriorated by EUR 10 million. Compared to the previous month, the export of goods level decreased by 7.8%, its import fell by 12%.

In August 2024 the value of exports amounted to EUR 10.9 billion (HUF 4,305 billion) and that of imports to EUR 10.2 billion (HUF 4,040 billion).

The balance of the external trade in goods was EUR 671 million (HUF 265 billion). The share of EU member states (EU27_2020) was 75% in exports and 70% in imports.

In August 2024 compared to a year earlier the value of exports decreased by 4.1%, that of imports lessened by 4.2% in EUR terms.
