Former WWE Superstar Odyssey Jones Files Lawsuit Over Domestic Abuse Allegations
The legal battle between former WWE star Odyssey Jones (real name Omari Palmer) and his ex-girlfriend Meileth Nunez has taken a dramatic turn, with Palmer suing Nunez for slander.
The lawsuit, filed on January 20, 2025, in Orange County, Florida, seeks over $100,000 in damages, alleging that Nunez made false accusations about him that led to his WWE contract termination.

Palmer’s lawsuit claims that Nunez made defamatory statements between May and July 2024, which she allegedly shared with WWE’s parent company, TKO Group, and various media outlets.
According to the complaint, these statements were false, malicious, and made with full knowledge that they were untrue. Palmer believes these accusations directly resulted in his release from WWE in September 2024 and is suing for damages, including punitive and special damages, as well as interest.
The controversy began in mid-2024 when Nunez accused Palmer of physically assaulting her after discovering text messages she had exchanged with another man.

She alleged that Palmer threw objects at her and physically threw her to the ground twice, providing photos of bruises she claimed resulted from the alleged attack. Palmer has denied these allegations, calling them baseless and even accusing Nunez of harassment.
Palmer was granted a protection order against Nunez in September 2024, citing several instances of harassment, including one during a May 2024 cruise where Nunez allegedly became violent after accusing him of interacting with another woman.
In his legal filings, Palmer also referred to a December 2023 hotel incident where Nunez allegedly attacked him in front of witnesses. Afterward, Palmer claimed that Nunez made threats to damage his career and reputation, contacting WWE and other parties to interfere with his employment.
He believes these actions were instrumental in his release from the company. Palmer also filed a stalking report with the Maitland Police Department, though no formal charges have been pressed.
The relationship between Palmer and Nunez was tumultuous. They initially dated in 2017, broke up in 2018, and briefly rekindled their romance in August 2023, though they never lived together.
Palmer’s petition includes references to a previous protection order he had obtained against Nunez in New York, while her attempt to get a similar order against him was rejected.
Palmer addressed the allegations publicly in a January 2025 Instagram video, where he stated that he had waited to speak out until legal protections were in place.
He thanked WWE for the opportunity they had given him and expressed gratitude for the fans’ continued support, despite the difficult situation. Palmer also emphasized that he is ready to return to wrestling and is accepting bookings for 2025.
In response to Palmer’s legal actions, Nunez continues to stand by her allegations. In a police report filed in May 2024, she accused Palmer of becoming enraged when he discovered she was texting another man.
She claimed that Palmer threw items around, grabbed her, and threw her to the floor multiple times. Nunez also described violent incidents during the cruise, where Palmer allegedly caused her to suffer a concussion and bruises.
She disputes Palmer’s claims of harassment and stalking, stating that he fabricated these accusations to benefit himself.
According to Nunez, WWE conducted its own investigation into the allegations, leading to Palmer’s release.
She expressed appreciation for WWE’s response to the situation and reiterated that the company had taken her claims seriously. Nunez described Palmer as having violent outbursts and erratic behavior, which she claims caused her significant mental distress.
