Golden Retriever Gets Little Brother—What Happens Next Melts Hearts

Bringing home a baby can change a household overnight and one golden retriever made her feelings known in a way viewers can’t stop watching.

On TikTok, user amandabrooke01_ shared a video showing her golden retriever’s unique reactions while changing her baby’s diaper. 

“Having to reassure my dog that her baby is not being harmed during a diaper change,” the creator wrote as a caption to the clip. 

A Watchful Sibling 

As the footage begins, the mother is seen near the baby boy’s changing table as the golden retriever stands behind and stomps its paws and huffs as the newborn is heard crying. 

The mom is then seen carrying the crying infant over to a different part of the room while the golden retriever follows closely trying to sniff the baby. 

The mother brings the baby’s head down closer allowing the dog to smell him before walking out of the screen as the dog follows. 

‘STRESSED’ 

Almost 700 TikTok users offered their interpretations within two days.

“She’s a first time mom too,” one remarked, suggesting the dog was adjusting to her new role alongside the baby’s parents.   

Another focused on the retriever’s assertive body language: “Her little stomp. She is not having any nonsense.” 

The dog’s exaggerated seriousness became a central talking point with viewers replaying the stomp and her intense stare as signs of a self-appointed guardian settling into position. 

While some viewers saw protectiveness, others made jokes about the dog’s behavior. 

“She was STRESSED,” a pundit observed. 

Another commenter added humor to the moment, writing, “You know that dog talks about you at the dog park.”
