Government sector deficit reaches 6.7 percent of GDP in 2023
Hungary’s government sector had a 5,018 billion forint deficit in 2023, equivalent to 6.7 percent of GDP, preliminary data released by the Central Statistical Office (KSH) on Tuesday show.
Government sector revenue rose by 12.9 percent to 31,814 billion forints, while expenditures climbed 14.1 percent to 36,832 billion forints.
