Drake’s first concert of the three-show Brisbane leg of his Australia/New Zealand tour got off to a rough start.
Gates were scheduled to open at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, February 24, but for more than three hours social media became flooded with videos showing massive crowds of locked-out fans. And then, the man of the hour kept them waiting even longer.

“Seriously, what’s going on at Drake,” complained one fan of the “PartyNextDoor” singer, 34, while showing TikTok the crowd of thousands of restless fans chatting outside.
“Here right now, the crowds are hell,” vented one concertgoer on TikTok.
“Everyone still outside waiting in lines to get in, crazy!” reported another.
Once inside, things didn’t immediately improve.
“Now whole show delayed?” posted one fan, with a video of an empty stage. “Haha is drake even playing.”
“We had good DJs before, then they hyped everyone up, saying Drake was coming,” someone inside told viewers at home. “Now we listening to chill music.”
“Coming out at 9:58pm is insane,” huffed another.
The comments section of all posts were filled with fans trying to off-load their tickets to later concerts. After his last Brisbane concert this coming Sunday, March 2, Drake returns to Sydney before heading to Auckland, New Zealand. He already performed in Perth, Melbourne and Sydney, beginning February 4.
The incident also brought to mind Drake’s beef with Kendrick Lamar, with whom he has a high-profile feud. Lamar, 37, performed part of his diss track about the feud at the 2025 Super Bowl on February 9.
“Can’t believe people still support this certified lover boy,” quipped one fan, name-checking one of Drake’s hits.
“Kendrick just opened his mouth,” said another. “Not even close to being better than not like us,” claimed a Lamar fan, referencing the diss track.
