How to Get Two Free Drinks from 7-Eleven on Slurpee Day

For anyone looking for a way to beat the heat, the beloved convenience store chain 7-Eleven is offering two free drinks on Thursday in honor of Slurpee Day.

Customers at participating 7-Eleven, Speedway and Stripes locations can cool off with a free small Slurpee drink while supplies last.

Keep celebrating all month long by unlocking another free Slurpee using 7Rewards or Speedy Rewards. Members who show their rewards information while checking out on Slurpee Day will receive a coupon for a free small Slurpee, which can be used any time before July 31.

Both deals can be used on any flavor Slurpee, including limited-time flavors like Mountain Dew Freedom Fusion and classics like Coca Cola and cherry.

The convenience store chain is also introducing a new, special edition Slurpee cup in partnership with Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals to raise awareness for pediatric cancer. The design was created by seven-year-old cancer survivor Nolan who was diagnosed with retinoblastoma, a form of retina cancer, at the age of three. He had surgery to remove his left eye and completed his treatment before his fourth birthday.

Locations across the country are hosting fundraiser campaigns where customers can choose to donate to Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.

Thursday is also the brand’s 97th birthday, and it is releasing a limited-time Birthday Collection of merchandise and party supplies in honor of the special occasion. The collection is only available on the 7Collection website.

“Slurpee Day is our annual celebration of 7-Eleven’s birthday and our iconic frozen drink; it’s a day of joy, community and good old-fashioned summer fun,” Marissa Jarratt, Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing & Sustainability Officer at 7-Eleven, said in a statement. “We are thrilled to share the nostalgia and create new memories with Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals and our customers who cherish this tradition so dearly.”

Rewards members can also enter to win free drinks and snacks for a whole year.

Slurpee Day began in 2002 and has grown in popularity since then.

The 7-Eleven brand is based in Texas and operates, franchises and licenses over 13,000 stores in the U.S. and Canada. The convenience store was founded under the name “Tote’m Stores” in Dallas in 1928. The name was changed in 1946 to reference the store’s new extended hours, from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. seven days a week.
