The Gators have the unique distinction of being one of the only Division 1 teams to have both their offensive rating (119.2, 9th) and defensive rating (95.6, 15th) in the top 15 in the nation. Florida is led by a trio of senior guards, Walter Clayton (16.9 points, 3.7 rebounds, 4.0 assists per game), Alijah Martin (14.7 points, 4.7 rebounds, 2.4 assists), and Will Richard (13.6 points, 4.8 rebounds, 1.8 assists). The Gators’ last matchup was a 19-point rout of Texas A&M, who just upset No. 1 Auburn.

Alabama comes in as the top-scoring team in the nation, averaging 91 points per game, led by senior guard Mark Sears, who is averaging 19.1 points, 3.0 rebounds, and 5.0 assists per game. In their most recent contest, the Crimson Tide dropped a close game on the road to Tennessee, 79-76, despite leading by four at the half, wasting Sears’s 24-point effort.

Florida and Alabama enter the matchup tied for second in the SEC, looking up at Auburn. A win would pull either team to within two games of the Tigers, but with just one game remaining on the schedule.
