New York rallied from 18 points down in the fourth quarter to beat the visiting Houston Rockets 108-106 on Saturday night. Jalen Brunson’s pull-up jumper in the final minute gave the Knicks the lead for good. Karl-Anthony Towns led the charge with 25 points and seven rebounds while OG Anunoby and Brunson each dropped 20 points, with Brunson adding six assists and Anunoby picking off four steals. Reserve Jose Alvarado logged five steals as well.

The Bulls got left behind by a big third quarter from the visiting Detroit Pistons on Saturday night in a 126-110 loss. Josh Giddey scored 27 points, with Isaac Okoro, Jalen Smith, and Matas Buzelis dropping 15 points each. Guerschon Yabusele finished with 12 points and eight assists, and Buzelis blocked six shots in the loss. Jaden Ivey, acquired from Detroit, is out for at least two weeks with a sore left knee. Another of the Bulls’ new acquisitions, Anfernee Simons, left Saturday’s game with an injured left wrist.

The teams have split their first two of four meetings, each winning at home. Brunson averages 27.0 points and 6.1 assists for the Knicks, while Towns puts up 19.9 points and 11.8 rebounds a night. Giddey paces Chicago with averages of 18.4 points, 8.4 rebounds, and 8.5 assists, with Buzelis getting 15 points per game.
