Their last meeting with the Knicks, a 128-112 victory at Madison Square Garden on Feb. 1, set the tone for their recent dominance, just hours before the Luka Doncic trade sent shockwaves through the league.
On Tuesday, L.A. made another statement, dropping a season-high 136 points in a blowout 136-115 win over the New Orleans Pelicans. LeBron James (34 points) and Luka Doncic (30 points, 15 rebounds) put on a show, proving that their superstar duo is more than just hype.
Now sitting at 39-21, the Lakers hold the second spot in the Western Conference, but the pressure is on; a loss would drop them to third place behind the Denver Nuggets.
