The 2025 NFL Draft will wrap up the festivities on Saturday when Rounds 4-7 will take place at Lambeau Field in Green Bay.

The 2025 NFL draft began on Thursday, with the first round giving us some huge surprises in the Jacksonville Jaguars trading up to draft Heisman winner Travis Hunter, along with a teammate of Hunter’s, Shedeur Sanders, falling out of the first round entirely.
The first round had a lot of other big moments, with the Tennessee Titans taking who they hope will be their quarterback of the future, Miami’s Cam Ward, with the first overall pick. Penn State defensive end Abdul Carter then went No. 3 to the New York Giants. Carter, a blend of elite physicality and tenacity, should toughen up what was a mediocre Giants defense last season. Meanwhile, LSU’s Will Campbell, a stud offensive tackle, then went No. 4 to the New England Patriots.

Campbell’s job in New England will be to protect the future of the franchise, quarterback Drake Maye. To round out the top five, the Cleveland Browns selected star Michigan defensive tackle Mason Graham.
The biggest story of the first round was about Sanders going unselected. It will be fascinating to find out which team takes a chance on Sanders in the second round. It won’t even be too big of a gamble considering his proven production in college at Jackson State and Colorado. Teams just weren’t thrilled with his pre-draft workouts, arm strength, and athleticism.
