No. 1 Ohio State could be set for its most straightforward fixture of the remaining 2025 schedule as the Big Ten title contender travels to face last-place Wisconsin on Saturday. The Buckeyes are yet to put a foot wrong in pursuit of consecutive National Championships and travel to Madison having won their last 10 games against the Badgers.
Luke Fickell’s side is still reeling from a 37-0 blowout defeat to Iowa last week, which many predicted might have led to the head coach’s dismissal. But he remains despite a run of four straight losses and 12 trips to the red zone so far this season, though it would be slightly poetic if the former Buckeye’s run were to come to its end against his old team.
On paper, it looks unlikely Wisconsin will be able to put up much of a fight given its struggles in all sectors, though a spluttering offense remains the biggest concern. The opposite couldn’t be truer of an Ohio State team that’s averaging 37 points per game with Brandon Inniess calling the shots and continues to operate like a well-oiled machine, fully deserving of its No. 1 status.
