Orlando Pride enters the championship match after their most successful season in club history, capturing the NWSL Shield with an impressive record of 20 wins, 6 draws, and 2 losses. The Pride’s offensive firepower has been remarkable, scoring 53 goals during the regular season while maintaining a solid defense that conceded just 23 goals. They’ve had Washington’s number this season, being the only team to defeat the Spirit twice.
Washington Spirit has been equally impressive, setting a new club record with 51 goals in the regular season. The Spirit boasts incredible offensive depth, being the only team in the league with five different players scoring at least five goals. Led by MVP candidate Trinity Rodman, who has contributed eight goals this season, Washington’s young core has proven crucial in their playoff run.
