These two teams have split the season series one game apiece with UConn winning the most recent matchup 66-59. The first time they played resulted in a two-point win for Villanova, so this game should come down to the wire.
Eric Dixon has been fantastic this season for the Wildcats, leading the NCAA in scoring with 23.5 points per game, but the Huskies had a great gameplan for him the last time around and held the dynamic scorer to 17 points on 3-13 shooting from the field. Dixon has to be better in this one to give his team the best chance to win, and based on his season-long performance, the senior forward will be up for the challenge.
The Huskies spread the ball around and have a balanced offensive attack with four different players averaging double digits this year. Solo Ball leads the team with 14.8 points a night, but Liam McNeeley (14.7) and Alex Karaban (14.5) are right behind him in the points column, making UConn a difficult team to gameplan for. Any one of the three could carry the Huskies to a win on any given night.
