The “King of the Hill” revival, also known as “King of the Hill” Season 14, was a massive hit. The August premiere was the best adult animation premiere in five years for Hulu, securing 4.4 million views in its first seven days, per a report from Disney.

Now, the streamer has officially made the final decision on the series, as it has been awarded a two-season renewal.
Deadline reported the news, revealing that Mike Judge’s beloved adult animated series will now be produced through Season 17 on Hulu.
The series was originally greenlit in 2023, with 20 episodes as part of the first order. This included the 10 episodes that served as Season 14. Also, the new season, which will presumably be the next 10 episodes, has a 2026 release window.
The “King of the Hill” revival had a wonderful plot, as Hank and Peggy Hill return to their old home in Arlen, Texas, after spending many years in Saudi Arabia. What they come home to is Bobby Hill being a chef for a German/Japanese fusion restaurant.

It was also revealed that Dale Gribble ran for the mayoral office in Arlen and won. However, his time as acting mayor was short-lived.
The revival brought back multiple voice actors from the original series, such as Judge as Hank Hill and Boomhauer, Kathy Najimy as Peggy Hill, Pamela Adlon as Bobby Hill, Johnny Hardwick as Dale Gribble, Stephen Root as Bill Dauterive, Lauren Tom as Connie and Minh Souphanousinphone, and more.
Sadly, Hardwick passed away, leading to Toby Huss taking over as Dale during the series. Other changes to the cast are Ronny Chieng as Kahn Souphanousinphone, who was initially voiced by Huss, and Tai Leclaire as Joseph Gribble.
The series’ return was one of the most well-received revivals, and Hulu has chosen to continue the show through to Season 17. If the “King of the Hill” revival can make the same noise with Season 15, there is sure to be another renewal in the coming months.
