Jada Pinkett Smith Takes Bath at Friends’ House

Jada Pinkett Smith is finding joy in the little things — like a good soak at a friend’s place.

On Sunday, December 1, the 53-year-old Hollywood icon shared a glimpse of her self-care routine via Instagram.

“Lately, I’ve been obsessed with ‘finding magic in the mundane,'” she captioned a snap of herself in a bathtub. “Discovering the simple joys that drop me into present time that enhances connection with myself and others. Like watching the Hawks fly outside my girlfriend’s bathroom window while sitting in her tub after indulging in a mud mask she put on my face that made my skin so happyyyy.”

In a short clip, Pinkett Smith also gave a shout out to the “delicious” honey mud mask she used, calling it pricey but worth it. “Look, you know I like my drugstore brands as well, this is not one of them,” she emphasized.

The Bad Moms star went on to explain that “the reason why I’m sharing this with you is because I have a project, a new project this year.” She continued, “And, no, it’s not a skincare line. But, when I introduce the project to you you will understand why I am going to start sharing with you my obsessions.”

While Pinkett Smith’s Instagram post had plenty to talk about, it was her mention of “my girlfriend” that had fans raising eyebrows.

“Her who?!” one person questioned.

“Peep the ‘my girlfriend’ 👀,” another pointed out.

“Girlfriend? 😂” someone else wondered.

“Girlfriend or Girl Friend? Where’s Will, or is this telling us that you’re not together?” one fan speculated.

“Hold on, girlfriend—is she gay now? Am I behind? What trend is this?” asked another.

For those in the dark, the Daytime Emmy Award winner is married to Will Smith.

The couple met in the early 1990s, went public with their relationship in 1995, and tied the knot in December 1997 in Baltimore, Maryland. They share two kids, Jaden, 25, and Willow, 23 — Jada is also stepmom to the 56-year-old Men in Black actor’s son Trey, 31, from his first marriage to Sheree Zampino.

In October 2023, Jada revealed that she and her husband had been separated for seven years but remained committed to working on their relationship. “We’re still figuring it out,” she told People at the time. “We just got deep love for each other and we are going to figure out what that looks like for us.”
