Jelly Roll May Not Be Done With WWE After SummerSlam: Report

When country music superstar Jelly Roll steps into a WWE ring at SummerSlam tomorrow night, it will be more than just a one-off celebrity appearance. A new report from WrestleVotes reveals the Grammy-nominated artist has been undergoing intensive training for his debut, and WWE has hopes for a long-term partnership.

Jelly Roll is set to team with Randy Orton to take on the duo of Drew McIntyre and Logan Paul on Night One of the two-night event. According to the new report, this match is just the beginning.

An Unprecedented Commitment

The WrestleVotes report states that Jelly Roll has been practically “living” at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida, to prepare for the match. He has reportedly been working extensively with a star-studded list of legends and current superstars, including The Undertaker, Michelle McCool, Kevin Owens, and Jacob Fatu.

This level of dedication, which includes three-hour training sessions, goes far beyond what is typical for a celebrity appearance. The report notes that WWE is hopeful for his return for more matches in early 2026.

A Lifelong Dream

Jelly Roll’s commitment to his in-ring debut is also physical. He has undergone a remarkable physical transformation over the past year, losing nearly 200 pounds in his journey to get in fighting shape.

This dedication stems from his history as a lifelong, passionate WWE fan. This is not his first time getting involved on a WWE stage; at SummerSlam 2024, he got physically involved in a segment by chokeslamming Austin Theory. He is now taking the next step by competing in a full match.

Setting A New Standard

Jelly Roll is following a new standard for celebrity involvement in WWE that has been set in recent years by stars like Logan Paul and Bad Bunny. Both men defied expectations by dedicating themselves to intense training and delivering critically acclaimed, high-quality matches. They earned the respect of the locker room and the fans by proving they were taking the business seriously.

Jelly Roll’s intensive training regimen at the Performance Center and his incredible physical transformation are clear signs that he is following that same path of respect and dedication. His match at SummerSlam is not just a celebrity cameo; it’s the beginning of what could be the next great celebrity crossover story in WWE history.
