Jenna Ellis Now Cooperating in Trump Fake Electors Case

Former Donald Trump lawyer Jenna Ellis has agreed to cooperate with prosecutors in the so-called fake electors case in Arizona in exchange for her charges being dropped.
The state’s attorney general, Kris Mayes, announced Monday that Ellis signed the agreement earlier that morning. Mayes said that Ellis’ decision to flip is “a significant step forward in our case.”
“I am grateful to Ms. Ellis for her cooperation with our investigation and prosecution,” Mayes said in a statement, adding that Ellis’ “insights are invaluable and will greatly aid the State in proving its case in court.”
Ellis had previously pleaded not guilty to the nine felony charges listed against her in the fake electors indictment that Mayes announced in April. Prosecutors accuse Ellis and 17 other allies of the former president of conspiring to overturn Arizona’s 2020 election results in Trump’s favor.
