Why it Matters

The suit was filed by Noushin Faraji, a former hairstylist for Fox Sports’ Undisputed who claims that she was subject to sexual harassment, bullying based on her ethnicity, and wrongful termination during her time at the company.

The full list of defendants are FOX, FOX Sports, FS1, FS2, FOX Sports EVP Charlie Dixon, Skip Bayless, FS1 host Joy Taylor, and 25 other people referred to as DOES 1-25.

Acho, who is not named as a defendant, appeared in Faraji’s lawsuit after she claimed that Taylor was having sex with him in 2020 so that he would recommend her for a job on Speak for Yourself, a job she did end up getting. Per the suit, the two continued their sexual relationship through 2023.

According to Faraji, she was asked by Human Resources if Acho and Taylor were having an affair, and she said they were. After that, she faced professional and personal repercussions from Taylor.

The suit states: “Mr. Acho had always been respectful to Ms. Faraji and never threatened or hurt her.”

What To Know?

Joy Taylor is a host on FS1. She was the moderator of Undisputed when Faraji was a hairstylist on the show, and is said to have frequently asked for Faraji to style her hair on other shows as well, including Speak for Yourself.

Taylor is accused in the suit of bullying Faraji, with the suit stating: “In early June 2023, the treatment reached a breaking point, as Ms. Taylor began openly mocking Ms. Faraji’s English (e.g., exclaiming that she could not understand Ms. Faraji’s accent) and complaining about Ms. Faraji’s humming — an involuntary subconscious coping mechanism for her diagnosed PTSD.”

Faraji also claims that Taylor initially fired her saying she wanted a Black woman to do her hair, given that Taylor is Black. However, Taylor then allegedly fired the Black stylists hired for her and asked a Latina coworker to do her hair.

Who Else Is Involved in the Fox Sports Allegations?

The other individuals named in the Fox Sports allegations are former Undisputed host Skip Bayless and FOX Sports EVP Charlie Dixon.

The suit is primarily focused on Bayless’ alleged sexual harassment of Faraji. The suit alleges that between 2017 and 2024, Bayless would kiss her on the cheek, make comments about how he could change her life if she slept with him, and even at one point offered Faraji $1.5 million to have sex with him.

When Faraji said no, pointing out that Bayless is married, he allegedly responded: “Aren’t you Muslim? Doesn’t your dad have three to four wives?”

Per the suit, Dixon is also accused of sexually harassing and groping Faraji, as well as having an ongoing sexual relationship with Joy Taylor, and other female Fox Sports staff, in exchange for employment perks.

Faraji claims in her suit that Dixon made her fear for her life, stating: “[Faraji] remained quiet about her experiences at Fox as she was fearful, believing that Mr. Dixon might hire someone to kill her should she go public.”

The suit is also a class action lawsuit with Faraji claiming Fox Sports did not pay its workers their full wages or overtime.

What People Are Saying

Fox Sports told USA TODAY Sports: “We take these allegations seriously and have no further comment at this time given this pending litigation.”

The lawsuit states: “This case thus represents yet another in a long line of cases chronicling the toxic culture at Fox, marked by bad faith promises and repeated failures to address a poisonous and entrenched patriarchy.”

What Happens Next

Faraji has requested her suit go to a jury trial. Whether this case does end up in court remains to be seen.
