Kamala Harris Says She Knows Trump’s Type: ‘Predators Who Abused Women’
Kamala Harris seemingly referred to Donald Trump as a predator “who abused women,” among other things, in her first speech since Joe Biden dropped out.
She spoke to campaign staff at Delaware election headquarters on Monday, after walking out to Beyonce’s song Freedom, and quickly set the tone by taking a jab at Trump’s criminal record and the allegations against him.
Harris said: “I, together with you, will do everything in my power to unite our Democratic Party, to unite our nation and to win this election.
“You know, as many of you know, before I was elected as Vice President, before I was elected as United States Senator, I was the elected Attorney General of California, as I’ve mentioned, before that I was a court room prosecutor.
“In those roles I took on perpetrators of all kinds.”
As the room erupted into laughter and cheers, Harris continued: “Predators who abuse women, fraudsters who ripped off consumers, cheaters who broke the rules for their own gain. So here me when I say, I know Donald Trump’s type.”
Donald Trump has denied all legal allegations against him.
Newsweek has contacted Trump’s campaign for comment via email outside of working hours.
