Kansas City Chiefs Reveal Major Patrick Mahomes Injury Update
Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs are set to play an extremely important Week 3 matchup against the New York Giants on Sunday Night Football.
After starting off the 2025 NFL season with an 0-2 record following losses to both the Los Angeles Chargers and Philadelphia Eagles, the Chiefs badly need a win. If they were to lose to the Giants and drop to 0-3, that could make bouncing back and getting into the playoffs difficult.
Kansas City suffered a scare this week when Mahomes popped up on the injury report. He was dealing with a wrist injury.

Simply thinking about Mahomes missing such an important game was a thing of nightmares for the Chiefs and their fans. A new update has been shared on the superstar quarterback.

With just a couple of days left before kickoff, Andy Reid has helped relax the fans.
As shared by Charles Goldman of AtoZSports, Reid offered an incredibly positive update on Mahomes. He’ll be good to go for Sunday night barring an unforeseen circumstance.
“Chiefs HC Andy Reid on Patrick Mahomes’ wrist injury, says it was something that happened during the Week 2 game,” Goldman wrote on X. “He had some swelling earlier in the week, but they managed to reduce it. He says that Mahomes practiced all week.”
Mahomes and company are facing close to a must-win game this week. Without him on the field, the chances of Kansas City losing to New York would have skyrocketed. On the flip side, with him on the field the Chiefs will be favored.
So far this season, the 30-year-old quarterback has struggled a bit. He has completed just 58.8 precent of his passes through the first two games, throwing for 445 yards, two touchdowns, and an interception.
On the ground, Mahomes has made a major impact already. He has recorded 123 yards and two more touchdowns.

Obviously, this is great news for Kansas City. With nerves starting to rise and concern setting in, Mahomes will look to quiet the storm and lead the Chiefs to a huge win on the road against the Giants.
Expect to see Mahomes come out looking to power his team to victory. He has to be frustrated with how his team has played so far this season. At least for now, all things are pointing to him being at full health.
