Micah Parsons Doesn’t Hold Back on Frustration With Packers
The Green Bay Packers have kept Micah Parsons on a pitch count while he returns from a lingering back injury — and he’s not too happy about it.
Parsons has played 77 of 136 defensive snaps through the first two games of the season, roughly 56% of defensive snaps.
He’s been productive in that limited role, tallying 10 pressures and a team-leading two sacks.
However, that’s not enough for the All-Pro linebacker.

In a locker room interview after the Packers’ 27-18 win over the Washington Commanders on “Thursday Night Football,” Parson admitted he’s frustrated with the Packers ramping him up.
“Honestly, it’s pissing me off,” Parsons said. “Can’t hold a dog back forever.”
Protecting Parsons from himself is a priority for the Packers after the immense investment they made to acquire and sign him to a record-breaking contract.
It’s a long season, and Parsons is sure to return to a full-time role in his new home, but his presence is already paying dividends.

The Packers (2-0) have held two top-five scoring offenses this season to under 20 points. Green Bay has yet to trail a single minute this season, taking control of the game with a balanced offense and vaunted defense that has tallied eight sacks this season.
While Parsons has yet to be fully unleashed, he’s confident that his efforts can contribute to postseason success.

“What I’ve been telling everyone: Defense wins championships,” Parsons added. “(Jordan) Love, you know, you give us 20 points, we should be able to win that game. It’s all about getting stops and getting the ball back to the offense.
“As y’all have seen against Baltimore and Buffalo, you can have a quarterback damn near have a perfect game and still lose because guess what, the defense just gave up, what, 40 points? So, defense wins championships. I think the fans like points and they like to see the big plays, but when you play great defense, it’s just so beautiful to see.”
