Monday Night Football Week 3 Best Bets

Jaguars vs. Bills Betting Preview

Several teams that entered Week 3 at 0-2 — the Broncos, Giants, Panthers and Ravens — have already delivered impressive performances this weekend. Denver, New York and Carolina all won outright as heavy underdogs on Sunday, and Baltimore bounced back from losses in Weeks 1 and 2 as the road favorite in Dallas.

In fact, just three weeks into the season, only three teams in the league are winless, and two of them (Jacksonville and Cincinnati) have a chance to change that on Monday Night Football.

That by no means guarantees Jacksonville will play well in Buffalo on Monday night, but it’s something to keep in mind. The Jags played well in the first half in Week 1 against the Dolphins, but collapsed down the stretch, then struggled to move the ball in their loss to Cleveland last week.

Buffalo has weathered several injuries on defense to get to 2-0, and the Bills’ ability to force turnovers turned their Week 2 trip to Miami into an easy victory on Thursday Night Football.

The Jacksonville defense, which has yet to allow more than 20 points in a game, should be able to keep this one close, though we don’t quite see the Jags taking down Buffalo QB Josh Allen and Co.

Anyone planning to bet on Buffalo to cover should think twice, as so far this year, NFL underdogs of 5.5 points or more are 13-2 ATS, according to sports betting analyst Ben Fawkes.

Jaguars vs. Bills Best Bets:

  • Jaguars +5.5 (available at DK, ESPN BET, bet365)
  • Under 46.5 (-110 available across the board)

Commanders vs. Bengals Betting Preview

We’re ignoring the concerning track record of heavy home favorites this season in Commanders-Bengals. Cincinnati, like Baltimore, is simply too good to go 0-3, and it helps that the Bengals have a favorable matchup against rookie QB Jayden Daniels and the Commanders.

Joe Burrow and Co. were unlucky to come up just short on the road in Kansas City a week ago, and the return of Tee Higgins will provide a boost for a suddenly balanced passing attack. Against a tough Kansas City defense, star WR Ja’Marr Chase was one of five Bengals players with at least three catches and two targets. Cincinnati will be that much tougher to stop if Higgins is even close to 100 percent healthy in his return from a hamstring injury.

This has had “get-right game” for the Cincinnati offense written all over it since the lines opened last week, and we’re banking on the Bengals offense coming alive with our best bets for this matchup.

Commanders vs. Bengals Best Bets

  • Bengals -7 (-115 at ESPN BET)
  • Bengals Team Total Over 27.5 (EVEN at FanDuel)
