NASCAR: When And How To Watch Cup And Xfinity Series At Charlotte Motor Speedway

NASCAR is headed to Charlotte Motor Speedway for another weekend of Cup and Xfinity Series racing.

Both both series, the race at Charlotte is the last opportunity for those fighting in the Playoffs to secure a spot in the Round of 8 which will start in Las Vegas on 19-20 October.

Last weekend’s race at Talladega Superspeedway saw the biggest crash in the history of the track involving a staggering 28 out of the 40 cars caught up in it. Due to this, many drivers’ Playoff hopes were damaged, putting even more pressure on them for a positive weekend in Charlotte.

Heading into the race weekend, the main news continues to be the antitrust lawsuit filed against NASCAR by 23XI Racing and Front Row Motorsports. The two teams have filed for an injunction in order to try and secure charters for 2025 despite the ongoing legal battle. Speaking about the injunction, Denny Hamlin, co-owner of 23XI Racing, commented, as previously reported by Newsweek Sports:

“We stated that we’ll be filing for an injunction. That’s the first thing that has to happen. The injunction is basically we’re going to seek relief, and in injunctions, you typically have to show — again, I’m not a lawyer, so be careful here — you have to show irreparable harm if you don’t stop it.

“We’re trying to stop NASCAR from taking our charters. Obviously, there would be massive irreparable harm there. We’re going to go to the courts and say listen, let us operate as a chartered team while this lawsuit goes on over the next year to two years.”
