New York Giants Preparing Massive John Harbaugh Offer: Report
Immediately after he was fired from his longtime position with the Baltimore Ravens, John Harbaugh became the hottest head coaching target on the NFL market.
Several teams — including the New York Giants — are clamoring to secure Harbaugh as their organization’s next sideline leader.
Harbaugh is meeting with the Giants for his first in-person meeting with any team on Wednesday. The interview will be attended by team owners John Mara and Steve Tisch.
As a high-value target in this year’s coaching carousel, Harbaugh is expected to land a massive contract offer. In fact, the Giants’ expected offer could make him the highest-paid coach in the league.
Harbaugh was making between $17-18 million with the Ravens. And according to NFL insider Ian O’Connor of The Athletic, the Giants’ offer is expected to be around $20 million per year.
Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid is currently the NFL’s highest-paid coach at that same $20 million mark.
“I’ve had a lot of people ask about money. The Giants are well aware that John Harbaugh was making $17-18 million with the Ravens and aren’t afraid of those numbers. Expect this to come in around $20 mil per, Andy Reid’s AAV,” O’Connor reported on Wednesday.

Harbaugh amassed a 180-113 overall record over his 18 seasons at the helm for the Ravens, leading the organization to six AFC North titles and a Super Bowl XLVII championship.
With young rising talent like quarterback Jaxson Dart, wide receiver Malik Nabers and running back Cam Skattebo, the Giants are one of the most attractive landing spots for prospective coaches this offseason. This talent paired with a huge contract offer could be enough to secure Harbaugh before the 2026 season.
