Paige Spiranac Says What Every Masters Fan is Thinking Amid Insane Drama

The final round of the 89th Masters Tournament at Augusta National Golf Club has lived up to the billing. There have been more twists and turns in Sunday’s round of golf than maybe any golf fan has ever seen.

Rory McIlroy, who entered the day with a two-shot lead, immediately fell behind. He then re-took command, only to fall behind again. But even that doesn’t come close to telling the dramatic story.

But that drama has been felt by all of the patrons in attendance, and fans online. That includes golf influencer Paige Spiranac, who summed up what everyone has likely been thinking.

“The Masters always delivers the drama! One of the greatest sporting events of all time,” Spiranac posted on X, formerly Twitter.

The four-time major winner is looking to claim his first Green Jacket. But more importantly, with a win, he will become just the sixth player ever to complete the career Grand Slam.

Knowing that, along with his 11-year major drought, he entered the final round under immense pressure.

That pressure shows it affects right from the get-go.

McIlroy double bogeyed the first hole and bogeyed No. 3 to fall a shot behind Bryson DeChambeau.

But DeChambeau would fall apart as his round progressed, leaving fans to trash the LIV Golf star online.

Rory rebounded to take a commanding four-shot lead. It appeared as though he would cruise to victory.

Instead, McIlroy carded his fourth double bogey of the tournament on 13. No player has ever won the Masters having carded four doubles in the same tournament.

Meanwhile, Justin Rose played phenomenal golf on Sunday. Rose actually took the lead from McIlroy on the back nine. He closed with a birdie on 18 to get in the clubhouse at 11-under par.

But McIlroy hit one of the best shots of the tournament on 17 to set up a birdie for 12-under.

But, the legendary golfer missed a par putt on 18, forcing a playoff with Rose. Buckle Up!
