Flowers exited the game with what initially appeared to be a severe knee injury. The injury was deemed to be non-contact, which can generally end up being bad news. That is not the case for Flowers, as the Ravens offered a huge injury update on the star receiver.

According to NFL insider Ian Rapoport, Flowers suffered what is believed to be only a sprain. He will get MRI testing done to determine the extent of the injury, but a sprain is huge considering he may have been knocked out for the rest of the season.

Flowers is likely to miss the first week of the playoffs, but could be back should the Ravens advance.

Flowers was on the ground for an extended period and looked to be in some significant pain. The good news was that he was able to walk off the field of his own power.

Despite Flowers walking to the sideline, he appeared to have a significant limp. The star receiver was then escorted to the locker room following the injury.

Flowers remained in the locker room, and the telecast offered more updates. Initially, it was announced that he suffered a knee injury. He was then ruled out for the remainder of the game.

As stated, the good news is that Flowers appears to only have suffered a sprain, which can heal relatively quickly. However, there is a strong chance that he will not be able to play in the Wildcard Round of the NFL Playoffs.

Flowers has been fantastic in 2024, securing 1,059 yards and four touchdowns. He would have likely increased his overall yardage had he not been knocked out of the game early on.

Flowers achieved a 1,000-yard season in the second season of his young NFL career. He did have a successful rookie season in 2023, securing 858 yards and five touchdowns.

Quarterback Lamar Jackson and Flowers developed a good rapport this season, linking up for some great plays. Hopefully, the star receiver can return to the lineup following the first playoff game.

The MRI results will reveal more information, but it sounds like Flowers can return at some point in the playoffs.
