The Baltimore Ravens just pulled off a sneaky-good trade, as the team has acquired defensive end Dre’Mont Jones from the Tennessee Titans for a conditional fifth-round pick. The pick can become a fourth-rounder for the Titans based on certain factors.

Jones has been a solid pass rusher in 2025, picking up 4.5 sacks through nine games thus far. He also has five tackles for loss and nine quarterback hits.
What makes this trade so good for the Ravens, is they get a highly productive pass rusher. Through the 2025 season, only two players on the defense have multiple sacks.

Linebacker Tavius Robinson and defensive tackle Nnamdi Madubuike have two sacks each, while linebackers Trenton Simpson and Mike Green have 1.5 sacks each.
Simply put, the Ravens need more firepower on defense, and they got that with Jones now in the building. Baltimore is starting to see the benefits of their team also coming together, as they now have two consecutive wins, after dropping four straight.
Lamar Jackson returned to the lineup against the Miami Dolphins, and he proved why he is a two-time MVP winner in the NFL. He rifled off four touchdowns, and helped propel the team to a 3-5 record.
Before the win, Jackson stated the team would treat every game like it’s a season-eliminator, which it technically is. The Ravens cannot afford another loss, and they have answered that call thus far.
Clearly, the team believes their 3-5 record is not indicative of their ceiling, and that has been proven. Now, general manager Eric DeCosta has made a huge move to improve the roster by acquiring Jones, and it would not be the least bit shocking if more help was on the way.
