Roki Sasaki Reveals Motivation in Signing With Dodgers Over Padres, Blue Jays, Others

Japanese phenom Roki Sasaki was officially introduced as a member of the Los Angeles Dodgers on Wednesday.
The 23-year-old discussed a variety of topics, including his motivation in joining the Dodgers in free agency.

In his opening statement, Sasaki revealed he wanted to choose a place “purely based on where I can grow as a player the most.”
Then, when asked what stood out about the Dodgers, Sasaki had an interesting answer, translated by interpreter Will Ireton: “I think the No. 1 thing that stood out was the stability of the front office.”

Shohei Ohtani has a clause in his contract that would allow him to leave if Andrew Friedman isn’t there.
