SPAR launches cooperation with Wolt

From the end of March, the SPAR online shopping service will be switching to the Wolt delivery service. In future, customers should receive their online orders within an hour.

With the new ordering option, Wolt will offer delivery from 73 SPAR and INTERSPAR stores to around 3.9 million people in 40 locations. The service will also be available via Wolt in cities such as Eger, Szeged and Mosonmagyaróvár, with further areas to be included in the online ordering and delivery service in the future.

From 21 March, orders from SPAR and INTERSPAR stores can only be placed via the Wolt interface. After selecting the SPAR/INTERSPAR store in the Wolt app or on the website, customers can select the desired products from the range and then specify whether they would like home delivery or collection on site. Personal collection is possible at 40 locations nationwide. Online ordering currently covers around 10,000 products, including all food categories – fruit and vegetables, baked goods, dairy products, delicatessen, meat, household chemicals, drinks and pet food. The cold chain is not interrupted during delivery. Wolt ensures this with the appropriate equipment.

Wolt delivers the ordered goods from Monday to Sunday, except on public holidays, taking into account the opening hours of the shops. Delivery is available from 399 forints (approx. 1 euro); the price depends on the distance between the shop and the delivery address. When using the Wolt+ service, delivery from all SPAR stores is free of charge if the value of the shopping basket exceeds HUF 6,000.
